<p>PURPOSE: To protect a photoreceptor form external light or external stimulus and to guide paper so that a toner image transferred on the paper may by protected at the time of forming an image. CONSTITUTION: In an upper carrying type image forming device where an optical write means 8 is disposed on the lower side of the photoreceptor 2 and a transfer means 5 and a form carrying path are disposed on the upper side thereof, a protective cover 20 shielding the exposure part of the photoreceptor 2 at the opening position of an upper structural body 1a formed in a device main body and retreating from the position where it shields the photoreceptor 2 at the closing position and guiding the form interlocked with the opening/closing operation of the upper srtuctural body 1a is provided. A pair of ribs 21 supporting both ends of the form in a width direction for every size of the form to be used is provided on the upper surface of the cover 20 and the rib 21 is made higher as the form size becomes larger.</p> |
