<p>PURPOSE: To improve denitrifying efficiency and to restrain leak ammonia to about scores of ppm by holding the added quantity of ammonia to a necessary minimum. CONSTITUTION: The ammonia adding position is within 2.5 times, preferably 2.0 times, more preferably 2.5 times and most preferably 1.5 times the range of electron beams on the upstream side of waste gas from the center of the electron beams irradiated into a reactor. Ammonia is added by any one of feeding (1) ammonia only, (2) ammonia and air, (3) ammonia and water and (4) ammonia. air and water. In the above ammonia adding, it is desirable that the heated-up ammonia and dry air (preferably, a dew point at atmospheric pressure is >=-15 deg.C) are used to dilute and feed ammonia. Further, it is effective that ammonia feeding piping made to be along the outer periphery of the flare in the form of a sphere of the irradiated electron beams is used at the same time.</p> |
