PURPOSE: To ensure smooth combustion without causing production of soot and tar and non-combusted fixed carbon by mixing organic waste with air and water vapor or air, water vapor, and combusted waste gas in a burning furnace and adjusting oxygen concentration into a specific range and combusting it with an assisting gas. CONSTITUTION: Organic waste 1 is mixed with air 3 and water vapor and further with combusted waste gas 4 at need in a combustion furnace 2 and is combusted by supplying an assisting gas yielded by adjusting oxygen concentration to 10 to 21%. Thermal energy is recovered from the produced combusted gas 8 with a heat exchanger 9 as water vapor 10, part of which is supplied to a combustion furnace 2. Part of combusted waste gas 11 is supplied to the combustion furnace 2 at need and a remaining fraction thereof is rendered to a low pollution processing such as dust removal and purification with use of a low pollution apparatus 12 and is thereafter discharged into the atmosphere as processed waste gas 13. Hereby, smooth combustion is ensured without production of soot and tar and residue of non-combusted fixed carbon. |
