PURPOSE: To prevent evaporation of an electrolytic solution and give a battery a long lifetime by supplying anode gas uniformly within the battery, thereby dropping the temp. on the outlet side of the battery, and decreasing the power of a cathode circulation blower. CONSTITUTION: An anode gas flow-path 26 is provided alongside the longitudinal edge of an anode consisting of a plurality of anode segments 31, and the second anode gas flow-paths 32 are furnished on both sides of each anode segment 31. The gas flow-path 32 consists of openings provided in a center plate, corrugate, and two mask plates 25, and the anode gas is allowed to flow through a laminate separator 22 of the fuel cell concerned. A partition is provided between the center plate and the mask plates 25 so that the anode gas is hindered from flowing to the cathode side. Thus the gas distribution in the anode region can be made approx. uniform by sending the anode gas from the gas flow-paths 26, 32, and generation of the reaction heat at the outlet from the battery is lessened to lead to drop of the temp. |
