PURPOSE: To charge dust contained in an air intake with electricity before automatically replenishing dust removing water when bringing the dust into contact with the dust removing water of reverse polarity to the charge, and to prevent the propagation of miscellaneous germs in the dust removing water to make easy the monitoring of water quality of the dust removing water and the makeup water replenished as mentioned above. CONSTITUTION: After air introduced from an air intake port 2 by an air intake fan 8 is brought into contact with dust removing water 7 in a reservoir 6 through an air passing part 3, it is discharged from slits 9. When the air is passed through the air passing part 3, dust in this air is charged by a needle positive electrode 4 and a flat plate negative electrode 5 and is removed by the dust removing water 7 (of reverse polarity) grounded through a dust collecting electrode 14. When the dust removing water 7 is decreased, makeup water 11 is supplied from the makeup tank 10 through a cap 13 of a communicating part 12. The dust removing water 7 and the makeup water 11 are irradiated with ultraviolet rays from an ultraviolet lamp 16. |
