PURPOSE: To provide a highly reliable disk driving motor by reducing the amount of dust flowing-out to the outside of the motor from the inside of a ball bearing. CONSTITUTION: A disk driving motor is provided with a central shaft 2, a pair of ball bearings 5 and 6 the inner races 5a and 6a of which are put on and fixed to the shaft 2 at a prescribed interval, and a hub 7 in the inside hole 13 of which the bearings 5 and 6 are supported in rotatable states with their outer races 5b and 6b being fixed to the internal surface of the hole 13, a driving magnet 8 which rotates together with the hub 7, and a stator core 10 counterposed to the magnet 8. An annular spacer 20 is put on and fixed to the shaft 2 between the inner races 5a and 6a of the bearings 5 and 6 in such a state that the outer peripheral surface 20a of the spacer 20 faces the inner peripheral surface 13a of the hole 13 of the hub 7 with a very small clearance (s) in between so as to constitute a labyrinth seal mechanism. |
