PURPOSE: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of simply adjusting image quality during image forming operation and capable of eliminating the wastefulness of a time or a printing medium. CONSTITUTION: When the renewal of the adjustment of image quality is required during the formation of an image due to head units 16, 17, the head units 16, 17 move to an HS station to form an HS pattern and an HS reading part 10 reads the HS pattern to renew the content of the adjustment of image quality on the basis of the read data. Thereafter, the head units 16, 17 return to a printing position to continue image forming operation. |
