NONWOVEN GLASS-FIBER CLOTH FOR LAMINATED BOARD, ITS PRODUCTION AND LAMINATED BOARD

PURPOSE: To improve the electrical insulation characteristic of a laminated board containing a glass-fiber nonwoven cloth as a part or total of the material of the board, especially improve the migration resistance between adjacent through-holes in the case of using the laminated board as an insulating substrate of a printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION: A binder produced by the addition of an acid to a reaction product of an epoxy resin and an aliphatic amine and having a Tg of >=90 deg.C is used for the bonding of glass fibers to obtain a glass-fiber nonwoven cloth to be used as a base material for a laminated board. The binder contains a silane coupling agent (phenylaminosilane compound). The epoxy resin to be reacted with the aliphatic amine is preferably a combination of a bifunctional epoxy resin and a trifunctional epoxy resin or the single use of a trifunctional epoxy resin.
