PURPOSE: To obtain a molded plastic item which cleans sewage, muck, or waste put thereinto, hardly allows dirt to adhere, and hardly releases bad odor by mixing a specific group of microorganisms or a specific substance into a plastic molding material before it is molded. CONSTITUTION: Before being molded, a plastic molding material is mixed with useful microorganisms EM exhibiting useful EM effects, such as dirt-cleaning effects due to decomposition of org. substances, or is mixed with a substance exhibiting the useful EM effects. The microorganisms EM are obtd. by culturing useful microorganisms including both anaerobic and aerobnc microorganisms of about eighty species of ten genera of five families selected from among naturally occurring microorganisms. An example of the substance exhibiting the useful EM effects is an EM ceramic which is obtd. by mixing the microorganisms EM into clay and baking the mixture. |
