PURPOSE: To provide a polyolefin molding material improved in surface characteristics such as coating film adherence and adhesiveness, and provide also a molding consisting of the material. CONSTITUTION: A method of treating the surface of polyolefin molding material comprises exposing a powdery or granular polyolefin molding material in a gas having a boron partial pressure of 0.1-13% to modify its surface.
