PURPOSE: To accurately control the speed variation of a driving system by suppressing the driving system from turning resonant by compensating the excessive frequency response of a drive transmitting system from a motor to a driving roll based on a compensating transfer function. CONSTITUTION: A transfer function generating circuit 34 generates a transfer function based on the frequency response characteristic of a motor 29 against a control speed signal having a noise signal VN and that of a whole driving system from a motor 29 to a driving roll 17. The generated transfer function is outputted to a controller 36. The controller 36 outputs the transfer function to a compensating transfer function generating circuit 35. The circuit 35 generates a compensating transfer function based on the transfer function. The compensating transfer function is outputted to the controller 36 and stored in a memory. The controller 36 outputs a driving signal based on the compensating transfer function to a motor driving device 37. Therefore, the speed variation of the driving system can be accurately controlled by suppressing the driving system from turning resonant.
