<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method to easily manufacture a towel for body-washing which is superior in air-permeability, foamability and tensile strength. CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane foam for which a melt treatment has been applied is arranged between a pair of dies, which consist of an upper die and a lower die, and are equipped with an outer peripheral frame part at least on one of the dies, and at the same time, have a specified cavity in such a manner that the polyurethane foam may be forced out to the joined surfaces of the outer peripheral frame part as well. Then, the polyurethane foam is heat-pressed to an appropriate thickness, and compression-shaped in the cavity. At the same time, the outer peripheral ends which are located at the joined surfaces of the outer peripheral frame part are heat-welded. Then, the heat- welded pieces on the end sides are cut into a specified outer shape. By this method, a towel 3 for body-washing which consists of a major part 31 and outer peripheral end part press-bonded parts 32 is manufactured. Also, at the time of the heat-welding, the outer peripheral parts may be simultaneously cut into a specified outer shape. On the surface of the towel for body-washing, a folding line, wrinkle pattern or company name etc., can be applied.</p> |
