摘要 |
PURPOSE: To obtain a boride ceramic material high in both mechanical strength and toughness and excellent in high-temperature characteristics and welding resistance to aluminum alloys. CONSTITUTION: This boride ceramic material is obtained by dispersing 3-30vol.% of fine powder of Ni-Mo alloy composition having <=2μm of particle diameter in the inside and/or boundary of the crystal grains of TiB2 , ZrB2 or HfB2 matrix having an average grain diameter of 0.3-5μm. This material is obtained by mixing a boride with Ni and Mo powder followed by molding and then sintering at >=1400 deg.C under a vacuum or inert atmosphere. This method gives a special texture with the Ni-Mo (of alloy composition) fine particles dispersed in the boride matrix and markedly excellent mechanical properties such as high fracture strength and toughness to the ceramic material. |
