Counter-flow filter

In this publication, a counter-flow filter is described which has been specially constructed for filtering household water. The filter comprises three - four separate vessels and objects. They have been arranged one inside the other 1,2,5,8,13 so that one of the vessels has been placed upside down in the filter frame 1, this vessel 5 serving in this filter as counter-flow filter 5 and whose cover serves as the base 7. Through this cover, the water flows against gravity and neutralizes the gravitational force. As it flows through the cleansing materials and substances, which have been placed in the frame 1 inside and outside the upper part of the counter- flow filter 5, the water is purified and passes out to a flow pipe 8 in the upper part of counter-flow filter 5 after passing through a close-meshed scraper sieve 9 to the flow pipe 8, then flows down under gravity along the flow pipe 8 and from there through a separate filter 13, after which the water flows through the flow pipe 10 out to a vessel placed below. Due to this construction, the water flows slowly in the filter resulting in an even flow and maximum purification. The filter is easy to clean, while the water-purifying substances can be easily renewed. It is just these features that produce a filter with a long working life. <IMAGE>
