The device is used in a reducer of a hand-operated electric two-speed impact boring and reversive machine-tool. It improves the reliability of the single-direction switching at rest and in operation, having simplified design and reduced overall dimensions. The device includes a switching knob (1), the stem (2) of which rests in a housing (3). A pin (7), parallel to the knob (1) is eccentrically fitted in the stem (2), the free end of which is mounted in a groove of switching lever (10). The switching pin (7) is connected to an insert (6) with a free sliding axle (5) of the knob (1) to which one of the ends (16) of a spring (14) fitted in hole (4) is engaged. Its other end (13) is fixed to the axle or to the element (12) locking the spring. A body (21) under the spring and opposite tracks (22) which are machined for one-way turning of the knob are provided for fixing the two switching positions.
