<p>PURPOSE: To freely select the chips of an external memory without providing any external circuit. CONSTITUTION: The single-chip microcomputer contains a chip select address designation register 13A which sets and stores the upper limit address of an external memory, a chip select address designation register 13B which sets and stores the tower limit address of the external memory, and the digital comparators 14A and 14B which compare the address data on an address bus 3 with the upper and lower limit addresses and outputs a chip select signal CS0 to the external memory only when the address data is positioned between both addresses.</p> |
