PURPOSE: To attain the drive in the approximately optimum conditions and regardless of the level of the horizontal deflection frequency for a horizontal output transistor of a horizontal deflection circuit contained in a variable scan type CRT display that has a wide follow-up frequency range covering a low horizontal frequency through an extremely high frequency. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal drive circuit 2 is provided together with a horizontal output circuit 3, a 1st accumulated charge draw-out circuit 25, and a 2nd accumulated charge draw-out circuit 7. In a high horizontal frequency range, the extra accumulated charge is drawn out by the circuit 7 synchronously with a drive transistor 21 so that the charge accumulation time is satisfactorily shortened. In a low horizontal frequency range, however, the operation of the circuit 7 is stopped to prevent w the draw-out of the extra charge. Then a horizontal output transistor 31 is driven by an acquired horizontal drive signal. |
