PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel processor provided with a data processor array on which data processors are arranged so that the processors can operate synchronously and a plurality of data buses. SOLUTION: Each data processor 4 has first and second I/O means 16H and 16V for transferring data between the processor 4 and a pair of data buses H and V connected to the processor 4 and the processors 4 are respectively connected to different pairs of data buses H and V through the I/O means 16H and 16V. Each processor 4 incorporates a route specifying means which selectively operates to connect the I/O means 16H and 16V to each other so as to transfer data between the buses H and V connected to the processor 4.
