PURPOSE: To utilize the walking aid easily even for any walker handicapped in a walking function and to safely utilize the walking aid without generating any danger such as falling down caused by unexpected retreat. CONSTITUTION: The walking aid is provided with a frame 10 equipped, with a space, where the walker can walk with standing up, at the center and handrails 20 at the upper parts for this walker to hold the body with hands and casters 30 equipped with rotatable wheels 31 provided at the lower ends of these frames 10 for supporting the frames 10 on the surface of floor so as to enable walking. The casters 30 are provided with back rotation preventing mechanisms for stopping the back rotations of the wheels 31 so that the frames can be moved only forward but can not be moved backward and back rotation canceling mechanisms for canceling the back stop of wheels due to the back rotation preventing mechanisms and these back rotation canceling mechanisms are manipulated by levers 60 provided on the handrails 20. |
