PURPOSE: To provide an electrode structure of a shock absorber using the electroviscous fluid capable of generating the required damping force and its manufacturing method by suppressing the voltage to be applied to the electrode low while the space between the electrodes is insulated with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A passage of the electroviscous fluid is formed by laminating metallic sheets 3a, and insulating films of the prescribed thickness are held. The space δ between the electrodes is insulated with high accuracy while the voltage to be applied to the electrodes is suppressed low to generate the required damping force. A passage of the electroviscous fluid is formed between the metallic sheets 3a by arranging the insulating film of the prescribed thickness at each end part of the metallic sheet 3a having an electrode terminal 21, and the metallic sheets 3a are laminated so as to alternately arrange the electrode terminal 21 at the different position for each polarity in the laminating direction of the metallic sheets 3a, and the voltage to be applied is suppressed low and the electrode structure capable of generating the required damping force is manufactured thereby. |
