DEVICE FOR LOCATING/FAILURE POINT OF GAS INSULATION SWITCHING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a device for locating a failure point without damaging the reliability of a gas insulation switch gear, while easily confirming the operation state of the locating device. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a detection part 4 for detecting a signal proportional to the current value of a conduction conductor 10 which is induced at a shield coil 1 buried into an insulation spacer 3 for subdividing a metal container 2 and a judgment part 7 for judging a failure point from the values of the detection signals. A judgement part 7 selects a combination where a shield coil with a detection signal exceeding a specific value and a shield coil with a detection signal below a specific value are adjacent each other. It is judged that a short-circuiting accident occurred at a gas section which is subdivided by the insulation spacer with the shield coils and the failure position is displayed at a failure position display 8.
