The thermoswitch (30) has a metal carrier (31) supporting a stationary contact (33) and a second metal carrier (32) supporting a bimetallic contact element (36, 37) heated by the switched current, secured together via an electrically insulating coupling (34). The thick-film resistance heating element (4) is positioned to the side of the carriers with conductor paths (38, 40) for supplying the heating current coupled to the heating resistance (47) and one of the metal carriers respectively.
