SUPERCONDUCTING FLYWHEEL DEVICE

PURPOSE: To increase the rotating speed of a flywheel by reducing the centrifugal force applied to permanent magnets constituting a superconducting bearing device. CONSTITUTION: Permanent magnets 41 and 68 are provided on the inside of a flywheel 40 in the diametral direction. The reduction in volume of a bearing caused by the positions of the magnets 41 and 68 which are not on the outside of the diametral direction is compensated by the attracting force of a magnetic bearing composed of permanent magnets 65 and 65.
