PURPOSE: To improve the precision of recognition in topic structure recognition and to enable a person to easily use a recognized result as a table of contents. CONSTITUTION: After obtaining topic structure by executing topic structure recognizing preprocessing (step 202), base developing processing (step 203), semantic developing processing (step 204), and integrating processing for base development and semantic development (step 205), whether an overlapped topic word in the topic structure exists or not, is detected (step 206) and the necessity of recalculation is judged in accordance with the detection result (step 207). When recalculation is necessary, preparation for recalculation is executed so that the overlapped topic word is not detected (step 209) and then processing is returned to the topic structure recognizing preprocessing to execute recalculation. |
