(a) choosing a bamboo of 10-15 cm diameter; (b) making a vessel by cutting along joints; (c) cutting one third of the top of the vessel and making a cover; (d) cleaning and removing the inner skin; (e) soaking rice and glutinous rice in water for 10 hrs; (f) putting the soaked rice, chestnuts, gingsens, ginkgo nuts and pine nuts in the vessel; (g) heating with steam in a pressure cooker for 30 min. As the cooked rice is mixed with resin exuded from bamboo, it can show various effects of bamboo. |
