<p>PURPOSE: To minimize the motor driving time, and reduce the labor by controlling a carrying driving system of recording paper by anticipating or detecting a recording paper carrying position in a recording paper carrying path. CONSTITUTION: A feeder A is connected to a recorder, and a feeder B is connected to its lower stage. In motor control of a conventional feeder, when paper feeding indication is sent out to the feeder A from the recorder in the timing 403, a control CPU of the feeder A drives a paper feeding roller for a specific time. Motor control at this time is a period 404. Next, only a carrier roller is driven, and motor control at this time is a period 405. On the one hand, the feeder B drives the carrier roller in synchronism with the paper feeding indication to the feeder A. On the other hand, the feeder B recognizes a connecting position in a carry of recording paper, and anticipates time when the recording paper is carried.
