FIELD: mechanical engineering, machining. SUBSTANCE: cutting tool consists of holder and cutting member in the shape of plate. The plate has insert going out on back auxiliary surface of cutting plate. The insert is made of material having higher intensity of gas escape in the cutting process in comparison to main material of plate and is mounted perpendicular to front surface of plate. Insert width is less than length of admissible maximal wear of tool back surface. Insert height is less or equal to plate height but more than value of admissible critical wear along auxiliary surface. Distance between tool top and right edge of insert is less or equal to length of admissible maximal wear of tool back surface. Insert can be disposed parallel to tool main axis. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of processing due to possible control of wear value of cutting tool in the course of cutting process. |
