FIELD: chemistry of crystals. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of charge of the following composition, wt.-%: magnesium, calcium fluoride 52.5-65.0; aluminium fluoride 3-10; metal-chromophore oxides 0.5-2.0, and beryl the rest. Charge is melted, kept at 1220-1250 C for 12-24 hr, then the direct temperature gradient between beryl dissolving zone at 1170-1250 C and crystal growth zone is made at the rate 1.0-3.0 C/24 hr up to 950-1000 C. Obtained colored beryl crystals can be used in jewelry industry. EFFECT: increased yield of crystals of jewelry quality. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 1 ex |
