The tank, made by a deep press, comprises a lower half shell (13) and an upper half shell (12). The lower half shell has a connecting edge (22) at the top and the upper half shell has a connecting edge (24) at the bottom which are joined and screwed together. Stiffening ribs (18) project outwards, on the two half shells. The two half shells have the shape of regular truncated pyramids (25,26) having a common longitudinal geometrical axis (14) which is perpendicular when in use. The truncated pyramids have a number of corners not equal to five and the stiffening ribs are arranged in the corner zones (39) which do not number six. The tank is provided, on the other side of the half shell respective connecting edges, with a plinth (21) having n corners, whose walls are parallel to the geometrical longitudinal axis (14).
