The present invention provides a polymer comprising repeating units derived from a (C8-C15)alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer, and repeating units derived from a (C16-C24)alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer. The present invention also provides a biodegradable additive and a biodegradable lubricating oil composition comprising the polymer and a vegetable oil or polyol ester. The lubricating oil compositions exhibit improved low temperature fluidity and low temperature storage stability.
