The blower rotor with blades and tangential exhaust, consists of flanges (10) orientated perpendicular to the wheel's longitudinal axis (16) and regularly spaced out. Each flange in the form of a disc, contains on its periphery, openings (18) provided for the reception of blades (14) that have a curved transversal section forming the tips of this blade. These tips are inclined in relation to a radial direction. The method of retaining the blades in their recesses includes each of the blades having a housing (20,28) that is provided to contain a circular spring clip (24).
