The wheel chocks immobilise vehicles on to the carrying plane (3), which has perforations (4), of an elongated shape. The chocks are formed with a base plate (2), immobilised by fixing into the perforations. The base plate carries a chock which is able to pivot between two fixed positions, one of which allows the passage of the vehicles and the other provides the chocking action. The base plate carries two hooked claws (29-30), which extend downwards from the lower face and which engage in the perforations in the carrying surface. The claws are lined up with the elongated holes in the support plane and then rotated through 90 degrees by the actuator (31) to lock the chock in place.
