The invention relates to a bolt lock 1 aimed at being embedded into a groove 10 made in the front edge 3 of a stile 4 or rail of a frame of a door, window or the like, comprising a control mechanism 13 accommodated within a casing 14 made integral with a face-plate 11 at the rear side 15 of which slide one or several operating rods 9. This bolt lock is particularly characterized in that the longitudinal axis of the casing is oriented perpendicularly to the axis of the operating rod or rods and in that this casing is capable of being located within a recess made in a rail 22 or stile, respectively, extending perpendicularly to the stile 4 or rail, respectively, receiving the operating rod or rods 9. <IMAGE> |
