A container holds a fluid pouch (11), esp. a drinks pouch with a closure tap (13) and pouring nozzle (12), the pouch has two retaining rings (15) around its circumference. The container has an open recess (4) in a circumferential wall (2), whereby the distance between the two side walls (5) of the recess is approx. equal to the diameter of the pouring nozzle of the pouch between the retaining rings.
