The system has a housing (7) which contains an electronic acoustic signal source with its own energy unit and at least one spring-loaded element (9). The housing is clamped or held in position by the covering profile (6) of the window frame (4) and the fixed window sill (1) or door sill and by the force of the spring. A spring-loaded activation plunger (11) is provided between the housing and the window profile for releasing contact of the alarm signal source, giving an alarm signal when the window or door is opened without authorisation.
