Electric wood planing machine

The planing machine has a shavings channel, receiving the shavings removed from the planed wood and leading to a discharge opening (6a) on either side of the machine housing. A pivoted control flap within the shavings channel allows one or other discharge opening to be used for discharge of the wood shavings, under control of a manual operating element projecting from the machine housing. Pref. the control flap has a semi-circular cross-section with its curved surface toothed for acting as part of the operating drive between the flap and the manual operating element.
