Tensioning bed for workpieces

The bed has a cast mineral body, with a vertical upper part (1), to which tensioning and adjusting devices can be fastened, in order to allow a workpiece to be machined accurately under tension. The devices can be fixed directly, or via special steel tensioning plates (6). The body also has a horizontal base (2), with steel guide rails (4) attached to its underside (11), or to its end wall. Steel plugs (8) can be accommodated in both the vertical and the horizontal surfaces in order to allow coarse alignment, and these are arranged in a grid pattern with equal distances between centres. The base also incorporates a fine adjustment system.
