Floating bridge with buoyancy chambers

The outer and inner floating body are divided by a wall (2) into several buoyancy chambers (3). The chambers are connected by drain openings (5) to a common drain pipe (4) sealed at its ends, and in communication with at least one bilge pump (7) via a suction pipe (8). A watertight connection is provided between the common drain pipe and cover of the pontoons making up the outer and inner floating bodies. This ensures that the bridge structure is not seriously affected by leaks.
