Sewage pipe repair method

The pipe is cleaned and a helically wound replacement pipe (1') is then moved to the point to be repaired, and pressed against the wall of the original pipe. The replacement pipe is held together by hooks (15,16). These are released, and cause the pipe to expand and increase its diameter. Two end faces of the replacement pipes are locked in place relative to each other, joining the pipes together end-to-end. An insertion device is then removed from the replacement. Alternatively, a cord is shot through the pipe to be repaired by a bolt, and this draws the replacement into it. This is then expanded by a compressed air bag, and the replacement locks into its final position.
