Side hinge for turn and tilt windows and doors

The side hinge has a bearing block (21) and a holder part (28). It is movably connected to the retaining rail (6) or push rod (7) and tensions the extension arm towards the casement (1) through tension mechanisms operated by the push rod when the fitment comprising push rod and rail is in the turned and/or closure position. The holder part is mounted to tilt at the end remote from the extension arm about a rotary axis running across the push rod extension and parallel to the visible surface of the rail. A mushroom-shaped pin (30) on the holder extends with its head through the rod and in the rotary and/or closure position of the fitment is engaged by a forked tension element on the inside of the rod.
