Spiral computer tomograph for human body investigation

The computer tomography is formed with several X-ray sources (5,6,7) symmetrically disposed on a measurement area (1) in a concentric manner (17). The X-ray sources are continuously rotatable around a system axis (4), resulting in relative rotation of the sources and the patient table. A detector ring (13) surrounds the measurement area (1) and rotates along with the latter. The detector ring may be a stationary ring composed of several lines. The effective measuring time for an image is e.g. 0.17 seconds for 360 degree data detection.
