The device includes several holders (20), each for holding a cassette (1) inserted into the holder. Also included is a holder-gripper device (21) which supports the holder (20) in a state enabling each holder to be loaded into a reproduction (replay) device. Several installation-detection switches (22) each detecting the insertion of a cassette (1) into each of the holders (20), and a flexible plate (23) displaces each installation-detection switch (22) in such a way that the switch (22) alters its state if an external force acts on it. A switch-plate (33) arranged in each holder (20) moves in order to enable the external force to act on the flexible plate (23).
