FIELD: measurement technology; measuring density of various suspensions by hydrostatic method using piezoelectric device. SUBSTANCE: air-tight chamber is made in the form of conical bell; sensor is placed in metering part of piezotube and made in the form of hollow cylinder with set of serially arranged light-current inductance coils; float is provided with pole shader; recorder is, essentially, interrogating and scaling electronic circuit; device parameters are selected proceeding from conditions given in description of invention. Electronic recording circuit can be monitored in the course of operation of device; to this end, sensor is made as removable unit and metering part of piezotube bears scale divisions corresponding to spacing between inductance coils. Device may be provided with second piezotube in which case respective inductance coils of sensors of both piezotubes are electrically connected into half-bridge circuit.
