FIELD: analytical instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: photoionization detector is intended for gas chromatography equipment, it provides for identification of components of analyzed mixture. Detector includes ultraviolet lamp with window for radiation release and ionization chamber with couplings to feed and to discharge analyzed gas with polarizing and collecting electrodes. Ultraviolet lamp is inserted with at least one optical filter having radiation transmission characteristics different from those of radiation transmission of window of lamp which is placed on internal surface of window of lamp. Ionization chamber is equipped with at least one additional collecting electrode. One of collecting electrodes is mounted in inlet part of ionization chamber connected to coupling of gas feed and located opposite to section of window of lamp overlapped by optical filter. Second collecting electrode is set in outlet part of ionization chamber connected to coupling for gas discharge positioned opposite to section of window of lamp not overlapped by optical filter. EFFECT: improved authenticity of identification of components of analyzed mixtures. |
