FIELD: processing of cutting coolants, in particular water coolants used in metal machining, for example at grinding, edge machining, honing of workpieces, etc. SUBSTANCE: cutting coolant, having a degree of bioaffection within 10to 10kl/ml, is subjected to aeration until stable pH-value and oxidizing- reducing potential Eh, corresponding to the cutting coolant quality standards, are attained; on completing of aeration cutting coolant is aged up to visible formation of a microbiological film (precipitate), then cutting coolant is cleaned of the microbiological film (precipitate), for example, by filtering of cutting coolant.
