Test system for tennis balls, racquets and net cables

The ball or racquet is held firmly in a fixture, while a net cable is clamped onto uprights and put under a pre-determined tension. A weight on the end of a pivoting arm is dropped through a known height onto the object under test. The weight will bounce up by a distance which is related to the elasticity of the item under test. The ratio between the drop height and the rebound height for a particular item is a quality factor for that item and can be compared with the ratios determined during tests on other products.
