Multi=purpose cabinet lock

The cabinet lock (6) is fitted to one part of the furniture item with a standard mounting orientation. The lock slider (8) is profiled and has two operating areas (7, 8) to grip either a striker plate (14) or a striker bolt, set at different spacings from the gap. A simple slider shape is V-shaped with the bottom profile of the V gripping striker bolts and with the two top edges of the V gripping a striker plate. The top edges can be sloped to pull a door into the closed position.
