The case has a bottom part and an operating lid rotatably mounted on it, so that the case can be opened and closed. The lid is in the form of an open box in which the fuses are mounted in holders. When the case is closed, each fuse makes contact with a live contact bar on the bottom part. A slide (5) has a number of holes (5a) corresponding to that of fuses (4) with spacing between holes (5a) corresponding to that between fuses (4) in the lid (2). The slide (3) is mounted in the bottom part and has a projection at one end, which interacts with a pin in the lid (2), so that the slide is moved lengthwise when the lid is opened or closed, in order to cover or uncover the live contact bar (9).
