Non=return valve with flexible element loaded against seat

<p>The non-return valve has upstream (5) and downstream (6) chambers separated by a valve seat (3) against the downstream side of which a flexible valve element (12) is fitted. A spring (2) presses the valve element against the valve seat to close the valve when there is no fluid pressure. Movement of the valve element is controlled so that at a specific fluid pressure it contacts a stop plate (4). Pref. a sleeve (11), fitted to the valve element, slides over a cylinder (13) fitted to the valve seat, and that the sleeve and cylinder have a corresponding polygonal section.</p>
