The energy supply network has a load current circuit in which the electrical supply lines (L+,L-) have potentials which are above and below the potential of the vehicle chassis (4) respectively. The supplied load stage is coupled to the vehicle chassis via a low-ohmic connection. Pref. a monitoring device is incorporated for monitoring the insulation resistance between the load current circuit and the vehicle chassis and contains a measuring bridge balancing stage (7) and a separation amplifier stage (8) providing the measuring signal.
